“Superb place to chill, eat amazing food, drink beer and talk MTB after a day riding the local trails – the owner knows his food AND the local riding really well giving us tips for our next rides. The food was REALLY good – yes it has burgers and nachos but also some different alternatives and lighter bites and top quality. The place has a very chilled vibe too – it does what it says – it’s a rider’s retreat! Will definitely be coming back here”

“Had a great stay here at the weekend. All the staff were really friendly and helpful and nothing was too much bother. There was secure storage for my bike, bike wash facilities with cleaning products and brushes and provision for charging. An ideal location for anyone riding in the valley with everything you need. The food was brilliant and they even had Yorkshire Tea in the room which in my eyes makes it a 10. Thanks for all your help both during the stay and prior to my arrival. You are definitely on the top of my list for future stays.”

“The place to stay when going to Glentress Forest. Whether you want breakfast, a coffee, cake or light snacks. If you are staying overnight in the area then this place is also a first choice. Secure bike storage, charging points for ebikes, drying facilities and top notch grub with great beers. The rooms are okay, warm and clean. Our 3 single bed room was a bit short on space for 3 blokes but apart from that no complaints. I would recommend the Glentress Hotel for your next trip to the forest and I will be returning next time I’m there.”
